Clothes for girls that are cute, comfy, and unique

When Cheeky Plum reached out and asked if they could send us a few samples of clothing to review, of course I said yes. After looking over their website, how could I not? Cheeky Plum was started by a mom who wanted to create special, colorful clothes for her daughter that were different than what was being offered in stores. They make all of their pieces in the U.S.

All of their clothes are seriously adorable. I imagine the sort of people who get to go to Coachella dress their babies in these sorts of bohemian chic styles. It had honestly never occurred to me to try that with my own girls. It was fun!

Cheeky Plum Sugar Plum dress

Penny is wearing the Sugar Plum dress in a size 4T. She said it made her feel like Pioneer Woman, who is her favorite t.v. star, so that is very high praise.

I REALLY liked this dress on her, especially with her little black tights and brown boots, which my little fashionista picked out herself. The colors and the ruffles were very fun, and it was easy to slip on and off over her head without having to undo the buttons in the back. Plus, if you ask Penny she will tell you it made a great twirling dress. She practiced spinning a lot after she put it on.

I also appreciated the stretch in the back and how it would have still been a good fit for many different body types. I could tell that Penny really liked this dress and that it made her feel good, which is what I think clothes should do for us.

Abby got to try a two-piece outfit.

Cheeky Plum tunic and ruffle pants outfit

She was sent the Wild At Heart Tunic and the Pink Stripe Ruffle Capris, both in a size 8Y.

Abby is in love with these pants. She literally squealed when we opened the box and said “Oh, I love the fluffs on the bottom!” They also must be comfortable because not only did she wear them all day, she insisted on sleeping in them, and then tried to wear them again to school the next day. (I was a mean mom and insisted on washing them first.)

The tunic was also very cute. At first I was a little unsure how well the fabric tie closures would stay secured, but they were fine until the end of the day. I thought the blue and pink color combination was adorable on her.

Cheeky Plum clothing review

I am a little concerned about future wrinkling, as I am not much of an ironer, but overall I give Cheeky Plum two thumbs up. I will definitely be back for more from them in the future.

AND if you are interested in placing an order, Cheeky Plum is offering Binkies and Briefcases readers FREE SHIPPING with the code CHEEKYO6.

Pop over to their website and check it out. I think I might need to grab some of the Chambray Ruffle Shorties for my girls for summer.

I know it’s a small thing, but I believe small things can add up to big changes. my entire North Bay series, including Out of Left Field, Right as Rain, and Way Off Base, is free on Kindle from Jan. 30-Feb. 3. Please take the funds you might have spent on my books this week and reallocate them toward the areas in our country that need them the most. Follow creators like Dad Chats who can direct you toward practical needs local to them. I hope my quirky romcoms can bring you some comfort and joy during difficult times, and I hope together we can take small, practical steps toward big changes. ... See MoreSee Less

I know there is an overall feeling of helplessness in our country right now. So many of us are at a loss for what to do beyond making phone calls and social media posts (which are still important, but can feel like not enough). I believe strongly in the power of small things adding up to big ones. As one person, I might not be able to do much, but what I CAN do is use my voice and my books to work toward the change I’d like to see. That’s why, for the next five days, from Jan. 30-Feb 3, I’m making the Kindle versions of my entire North Bay series (Out of Left Field, Right as Rain, and Way Off Base) completely free. Art has power, and I do hope these comedies can bring you some comfort and joy in difficult times, but most importantly, I also hope you’ll consider redirecting the funds you might’ve spent on my books and donating instead to one of the many charities working tirelessly in our cities right now. If you are located in an area like Minnesota or Portland, please use the space below to make people aware of the organizations in your area that need help. ... See MoreSee Less
