I am posting this from the road because we are traveling for the second weekend in a row.
How are you doing with your weight loss goals? Me? Not awesome, to be honest.
I have been a very busy bee, and that probably shouldn’t be an excuse, but it is.
We have spent about 1/3 of the last two weeks in the car and I’ve been on the go a lot while I am at home too.
The BlogU Conference isn’t planning itself. 🙂
And I’ve been having some problems with my lady parts that required some doctor’s visits this week. (Everything is probably fine. We thought I might have had a cyst burst on one of my ovaries. I didn’t, but they haven’t really figured out what it is yet. For now we are going with “possible aggravated scar tissue” from my c-sections plus my very first yeast infection. Don’t say I didn’t warn you that I am an over-sharer. It says so right over there on the sidebar.)
Back to my weight, I’m holding steady hovering around the 180 mark. The doctor’s scale said exactly 180. 0 lbs. That’s +0.2 over two weeks ago when I weighed in last, but I’m expecting my period this week, so I’m not bothered by a tiny gain.
I’m finding it really hard to stay motivated on the weight loss front when I have so much other stuff going on.
I don’t know about you, but for me, it’s just not something I usually think about unless I make a conscious effort. I do make a lot of healthy choices. (But I also eat a lot of candy and “kid food” that adds up.)
I’ve gone back to a lot of water and added exercise back in on days I can.
I’m sure I could lose a lot more weight f I took the time to cook all my meals and exercise at least an hour every day.
The formula isn’t complicated. I’ve been skinny before, I know how to get myself there.
I’m just not sure where to carve out that time in this stage of my life.
What about you?

You have SO much on your plate right now! Maintaining your weight is an accomplishment in and of itself! If i were travelling and busy like you, I would be gaining weight like crazy! I would be eating out and stress eating probably and gaining!
You are super mom, and I honestly don’t know how you do it all. I don’t do nearly as much as you and I can’t find time to go to the gym or cook well. I have been going to the gym at least once a week (better than nothing I suppose). But I’m convinced the only reason I am losing weight is because I had so much pregnancy weight to lose! And I’m breastfeeding. I am down 40 pounds from my peak pregnancy weight. I am so embarrassed that I even gained that much during my last pregnancy! So embarrassing. But I am trying to go for another 10 pounds over the next couple months. We’ll see!
40 pounds is amazing! That’s so awesome!! I am certainly not super mom. I am learning that I just can’t do everything. I hired a mother’s helper to help me out a few days a week and that has been a really good decision, but I still don’t have much extra time and my weight loss always seems to sneak down to the bottom of the to-do list.
I also know how to lose weight. It’s the timing thing. I work outside the house full time. I have the mom guilt about not spending enough time with my kiddo.
That’s it–it’s carving out the time at this stage in life that gives me fits–it’s ridiculously impossible, to put it mildly. Go you for giving it the attention that you do!
