I don’t even have or want children but I appreciate your fight. I. The summer months, my husband and I will eat on restaurant patios and play “12 year old or 20 year old”. Typically we can’t tell the age of girls bc they are dressed in short shorts/tight shirts, and it isn’t until they are right in front of us when their age becomes known. I agree w/ your idea 100% and would add “yoga pants” into the fight. Tight stretch pants with nothing over top of them…when did we decide modesty has no place in society?
I have a 21 and an 11 year old and your problem of dressing your toddler will only get harder. Honestly, short of the younger child mostly wearing oversize t-shirts it is truly hard to find nice fitting clothes. I am thankful she is modest and does not like things tight so it is not a battle, however I do worry over her sense of style. No joke here. There is a time to wear t- shirts and a time to have more flare and it is hard and can get expensive trying to teach these lessons also. Good luck and thank you for addressing this. Belk’ s and I have had this discussion. It is too bad they did not care enough to even respond because we no longer shop there. Thanks again.
