This was a week full of TONS of choices for the house.
We picked our flooring (Mohawk Rockford Solid hardwood 3.25″ planks in Red Oak Chocolate)
We also picked carpet, vinyl (for the kid’s bathroom and the laundry closet), and tile for our master bathroom.
We chose the vanities and sinks for our bathrooms. We chose faucets. Forgive the phone pics…
We chose paint colors. (We’re only actually using 2 of the colors in this picture. You’ll just have to wait to see which ones. đŸ˜‰ )
We’ve decided that we want all of the colors to be from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Even though the house is brand new, we think these colors will help us achieve the craftsman style that is our favorite and it also made it much easier to narrow down ALL the choices that were available in the paint aisle!
Just about all of our interior walls are up now. Yesterday we had a walk-through with the electrician. The control freak in me LOVES that custom building means we get to make every little tiny tiny decision, right down to where each outlet and light switch will be placed.
It’s so fun to see the rooms start to take shape!

How exciting! I’m really loving your choices. We are starting our cabin at the end of the month and I’m excited to pick stuff out and choose where the outlets will go too.

I am so excited for you. Hubby and I built the house we live in now, and I remember the excitement of being able to choose every single detail of our home. So, glad you get to have that excitement too.
