If you have been following my Facebook page, you may have been participating in some of the discussions recently about how I wanted to start a new book club.
A few years ago I used to host a monthly book club at my home for my friends. Everyone would bring their kids and a covered dish and we would have brunch and let the kids have a play date while we talked about the book. My health is no longer up for hosting a real life event like that on a regular basis, but I do miss that book club. I thought it would be fun if we could have a virtual one here on the blog.
So we will! Here is what we are going to do:
1.Each month we will pick a new book. You can offer suggestions on my Facebook page. I will take them into consideration and announce the new book at the beginning of each month right here on the blog.
2. We will have a Goodreads group where we can talk about the book throughout the month and members can discuss it together whenever their schedules allow. If you are a Goodreads member, make sure you sign up here.
3. At the end of each month I will host a Facebook Live video or Google Plus chat to talk about the book. You can follow along live or catch up later, whichever works best for your schedule. Make sure you are following me on Facebook and G+ so that you will be able to see the chats.
4. If you are not into social media, that’s fine too. You are welcome to just read along with us. Check back right here on the blog for next month’s pick at the beginning of February.

Our first discussion will be January 30th, but I hope to see you on Goodreads before then!
