A whole week of dutch oven meals

Well, it’s the last day of Dutch Oven week. Have you been using your dutch oven along with us? This is the last day of my week of easy dutch oven recipes.

You can link up your own dutch oven recipe at the end of this post.

On Monday I shared my PA Dutch Chicken Corn Soup. Pennsylvania Dutch Chicken Corn Soup Recipe

On Tuesday Tabatha shared her Beef Stew beefstew On Wednesday I showed you my go-to recipe for company, my semi-homemade version of my aunt’s Italian Festival Bake.  Italian festival bake. A dutch oven recipe

Thursday Rene showed you her oven roasted herb turkey. finished turkey

And now that it’s Friday, I thought I’d wrap up by showing you a few other things I do with my dutch oven. I also use my Le Creuset to make all of these recipes: Healthy Orange Chicken Recipe

Of course you don’t have to have a dutch oven to make any of these recipes, but I do find that it is my favorite pot in my kitchen. I love how it can go from the stove top straight into the oven, which means less dishes for me to wash because I’m not dirtying up a bunch of different pots and pans. Plus, it just makes me feel cool like I’m cooking on t.v. or something. Hey, blogging is how the Pioneer Woman started, right? 😉

Affordable Vacation Ideas for Large Families

Are you looking for affordable vacation ideas? I know I always am! We have five children, so we understand how expensive a vacation can be. Our family of 7 is too large to fit in a typical hotel room, so when we vacation we have to either reserve two rooms or rent a house whenever […]

How to Prepare for An IEP Meeting as a Parent

I have been in more IEP meetings than I can count. If you do not know what I’m talking about, then consider yourself lucky. IEP (which is short for “Individualized Educational Plan”) meetings take place between the parents, teachers, administration, and any specialists that need to be involved when a child qualifies for special services […]
